About the tech note

About the tech note

Integrity of the inverted terminal repeat (ITR) regions of adeno-associated virus (AAV) transfer plasmid is crucial for rAAV production. Truncated ITRs can reduce the yield of full viral capsid production and increase generation of undesirable non-rAAV encapsidated DNA. GENEWIZ’s proprietary AAV plasmid preparation process significantly improves the chance of maintaining ITR integrity, and can also isolate clones with full-length ITRs from a sample mixture containing intact and truncated ITRs.

What you'll learn

  • Importance of ITR integrity in rAAV production
  • How GENEWIZ’s proprietary AAV-ITR sequencing method successfully sequences through ITR regions
  • How to best maintain ITR integrity with GENEWIZ’s proprietary AAV plasmid preparation workflow
