His expertise spans complex restructuring, expanding globally, and pioneering DNA sequencing technology. His dedication to elevating scientific performance, productivity, and internal controls shines through his accomplished career in high throughput genomics at the Oxford Genomics Centre.

Angie Lorrison

ANGIE LORRISON

Angie Lorrison, Operations Manager at Azenta Life Sciences in the UK, brings over twenty years of expertise in the molecular genetics field. Her journey includes significant roles at Oxford University, where she managed Sequenom Sequencing from 2005 and later contributed to the Oxford Genomics Centre (OGC), specializing in NGS library preparation and project management. In 2014, she became the Library Preparation Manager, known for her results-driven and collaborative leadership. Angie's rich experience led her to Operations Management in 2021, focusing on process optimization and operational efficiency at OGC.

Sarah Lamble

SARAH LAMBLE

Sarah Lamble, Study Manager at Azenta Life Sciences in the UK, brings over ten years of experience in next generation sequencing (NGS) and project management. She gained her undergraduate Biology degree and Ph.D. from University of Bath. As a previous member of the Oxford Genomics Centre, she has extensive experience in NGS and has refined her skills as a project manager.

Simon Engledow

SIMON ENGLEDOW

Simon Engledow, Study Manager at Azenta Life Sciences in the UK, brings more than ten years of project management experience in NGS technologies from the Oxford Genomics Centre, University of Oxford. He gained his PhD from the University of Leeds and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick. Simon has a varied background in plant and mammalian cell and molecular biology/biotechnology, combined with employment in both academia and industry, that spans over twenty-five years.

Lorne Lonie

LORNE LONIE

Lorne J. Lonie, Senior Scientist in Operations at Azenta Life Sciences in the UK, brings over twenty-five years of experience as a molecular geneticist and fifteen years of experience in the NGS field. As a previous member of the Oxford Genomics Centre, he has extensive experience in managing production teams using NGS systems. His profound knowledge of NGS developments has enabled him to excel in delivering high quality data and excellent turnaround times for customers.

Amy Trebes

AMY TREBES

Amy Trebes, Lab Services Manager at Azenta Life Sciences in the UK, has accrued over fourteen years of experience in NGS library preparation and process improvement. She gained her Biological Sciences master’s degree from University of Leeds and Forensic Sciences undergraduate degree from University of Lincoln. As a previous member of the Oxford Genomics Centre, she has extensive experience in NGS workflows and process optimisation.

Han Dinh, Associate Scientist at Azenta Life Science in the UK, brings to the table over five years of experience in molecular biology and two years in NGS. With a solid understanding of NGS methodologies, Han has consistently delivered high-quality work in her previous role. She is eager to further develop her expertise in sequencing technologies and aims to provide excellent service to Azenta's customers in her new position.

Kim Blackwell

KIM BLACKWELL 

Kim Blackwell, Associate Scientist at Azenta Life Sciences in the UK, brings four years of experience in the next-generation sequencing space. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Portsmouth, she went on to work at Oxford Nanopore Technologies where she contributed to early-stage research projects aimed at developing DNA/RNA and protein sequencing technology. Excited to enhance her skills, Kim is committed to delivering high-quality data for our customers.

Marina Ghaly

MARINA GHALY 

Marina Ghaly, Associate Scientist at Azenta Life Sciences in the UK, gained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Southampton and her master’s degree in forensic science from King's College London. Her thesis project on the validation of a new sequencing kit refined her NGS and problem-solving skills, and she is looking forward to applying her experience to enable the delivery of timely and exemplary results.

Amy's extensive experience across the life science industry in the UK, Europe, and North America reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence.

Richie Jones, Account Manager at Azenta Life Sciences for Oxford and the southwest, brings half a decade of NGS and customer support experience. Holding an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and having served in key roles at Illumina, he possesses a deep understanding of project goals and excels in devising the best solutions to meet them.
