GENEWIZ Week Awards Program 2024

Celebrate 25 years of success in scientific discovery by entering to win 1 of 25 awards totaling $50,000! 

During GENEWIZ Week, we recognize excellence in genomics research through a series of funding awards designed to continue supporting advancements in genomics research. This year, 25 winners will be awarded $50,000 in funding across GENEWIZ Multiomics & Synthesis Solutions services from Azenta Life Sciences. Winners will be selected by our esteemed panel of judges and announced after GENEWIZ Week.

To participate, please submit your abstract by September 20th, 2024 for consideration. This award program is open to both academic and non-academic applicants alike. Only one entry may be submitted per person/abstract.

 

Emerging Technologies Award: Proteomics, spatial, and beyond

Five grants totaling $10,000 towards the application of an emerging technology

Go beyond traditional methods by leveraging the latest advancements in technology like Olink Proteomics, Nanostring Digital Spatial Profiling, 10x Visium Spatial Gene Expression, and 10x Single-Cell Sequencing. To apply to the Emerging Technologies Award, tell us how you will utilize one of these cutting-edge technologies to gain a more comprehensive understanding of your research. 

1x $5,000 award, 1x $2,000 award, and 3x $1,000 awards

 

Integrated Solutions Award: Mix and match services​

Five grants totaling $10,000 towards the application of two or more GENEWIZ services ​

Have a hard time picking just one? The Integrated Solutions Award enables you to mix and match among our gene synthesis and sequencing solutions to design your ideal project. To apply to this award, tell us how you will use two or more technologies to further your scientific understanding.

1x $5,000 award, 1x $2,000 award, and 3x $1,000 awards

 

Pioneer Award: For new scientific approaches, organisms, or applications​

Five grants totaling $10,000 towards a unique or new application, organism, or scientific approach 

Calling all scientific trailblazers! The Pioneer Award supports groundbreaking research and is available for any service with GENEWIZ Multiomics & Synthesis Solutions, including all gene synthesis and sequencing solutions. To apply to this award, tell us how you will utilize our solutions to advance science with a new approach, new organism, or new fundamental understanding.

1x $5,000 award, 1x $2,000 award, and 3x $1,000 awards

 

Sequencing and Quantification Award: Choose your preferred sequencing path

Five grants totaling $10,000 towards an NGS or Sanger sequencing application​

Unlock your research potential with a wide variety of sequencing solutions, ranging from traditional Sanger sequencing and genotyping, to microarrays and qPCR, all the way to advanced next generation sequencing (NGS) approaches. With the Sequencing and Quantification Award, you can choose your preferred sequencing path as you gain insights with our comprehensive sequencing solutions.

Gene Synthesis Award: Optimize gene construction

Five grants totaling $10,000 towards a gene synthesis application ​

Traditional molecular cloning methods are often complex. Gene synthesis provides an efficient method to quickly generate constructs for exploration of mechanisms in vitro, while also providing precise sequence vectors for therapeutic development. The Gene Synthesis Award enables you to leverage gene synthesis in your research to help you efficiently characterize the effects of genomic changes on the mechanisms of cellular functions.
