サンガーシーケンシングは現在も高精度なDNA配列解析のゴールドスタンダードとして広く利用されていますが、近年ではOxford Nanopore Technology（ONT）などの技術革新により、長鎖リードを低コストで取得できる新たな解析手法も登場しています。 本ワークショップでは、これら2つのシーケンシング技術それぞれの特性や適用場面について理解を深め、得られるデータを正しく解釈・活用するためのポイントを学びます。目的に応じて最適な手法を選択し、それぞれの利点を最大限に活かす方法を紹介します。

Lia Edmunds, Ph.D.

Technical Support Scientist​, Azenta Life Sciences

Dr. Lia Rae Edmunds is an expert in Sanger sequencing and ONT. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in endocrinology and metabolism. She earned a Ph.D. in molecular and developmental biology from the University of Pittsburgh, focusing on cellular and mitochondrial bioenergetics. Dr. Edmunds has received accolades such as the American Diabetes Association Postdoctoral Fellowship Award and has published extensively in high-impact journals.
