About the workshop
Nanopore sequencing provides a cost-effective, long-read approach for a variety of analyses, including whole plasmid sequencing and amplicon sequencing.
In this workshop, delve into the considerations of each technique and discover how to interpret their resulting sequencing data effectively so you can make the most of this powerful approach.
What you'll learn about
- Fundamental principles of ONT sequencing, including how it reads DNA sequences, strengths and limitations
- How to accurately interpret and analyze sequencing data from each approach
- Key ONT metrics and results
About the presenter

Jordan Powers, Ph.D.
Next Generation Sequencing Study Manager, GENEWIZ from Azenta Life Sciences
With a passion for biology, next-generation sequencing, and customer relations, Dr. Powers assists GENEWIZ customers in experimental design and project management of NGS experiments. Dr. Powers received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from St. Bonaventure University and his Ph.D. in Genetics and Genomics from Duke University. During his Ph.D., he applied genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomic methodologies to elucidate transcriptional cascades involved in response to small molecules.
